I’ve been with the business for a while. After completing a BSC Hons as a mature student in Yorkshire, I had yet to settle on a defined career path. I took an administrative role with DHS when the company was still in its infancy, and was bowled over by the potential of the company- and the care and dedication of its team! I quickly found myself in the management team, and found that my skillset and focus complemented the business well.

I like the variety of working here at DHS: you can really get into the details of how things work, and how different areas of the business impact and link with each other. It’s interesting; you get to work with suppliers and customers, and when you go home feeling like you’ve done something positive it’s a great feeling.

One of the best things about working here is the people. DHS is full of genuinely friendly people who care about what they do, and take pride in it. The business is always trying to better itself, and there are lots of benefits to working here, like discounts and MyPerks.

I’d definitely recommend working at Travis Perkins Group. It’s a great place to forge a career, and there’s a lot of emphasis on encouraging and nurturing internal progression within its staff.
