- Maintain and develop relationships in an allocated ledger of large and new customers whilst taking full ownership of those customers and operating at all levels including board level.
- Create and continually develop an Account Development Plan for each customer that clearly maps out a development strategy which will achieve the revenue and profit targets that are linked directly to AOP. Ensure that the Account Development Plan has an up-to-date service level agreement that clearly maps out their expectations and defines how the business will respond to these.
- Continually evaluate the performance of each account vs their available spend in order to maximise our share of wallet.
- Utilise P&H Apps on a daily basis and the Sales Management and Project Tracking Tool to secure the best customer opportunities and ensure the sales teams have a joined up approach to gaining profitable business.
- Identify additional revenue opportunities within the allocated customer list and within the wider market to hunt new opportunities to grow the business and take responsibility for the resolution of any problems.
- Negotiate, follow up on and report back to the business on each available tender or order to place from each customer on the ledger.
- Create financially sound customer rebate deals that either maintain or help grow profitable sales.
- Take ownership of ledger accounts and new accounts from quotation, to quote follow up, to payment and create customer rebate proposals to help maintain or grow sales whilst working with the regional trading hub teams and branches to deliver success.
- To build a strong relationship with RD’s ensuring that business is always placed at the branch that can service the customer the best. To support the regions with ongoing regional activity ie branch openings and call out days to ensure our branches are performing successfully.
- Has the ability to manage a number of large key customers, whilst increasing sales and identifying new sales opportunities for customers to deliver long term profitable sales growth.
- Has a proactive approach to building relationships and customers expectations.
- Sees every sales opportunity – and makes the most of it, with the strong ability in understanding customer objectives in order to develop successful strategic plans.
- Is fantastically well‐organised.
