The Role
Reporting to the UK Business Development Director at CCF, the successful applicant will develop and sustain effective relationships with existing and potential Key Account customers to drive sales and ensure appropriate product mix, in order to achieve strategic and operational targets. 

Our Business Development Managers play a key role in working with other stakeholders to identify and consider potential new business which will drive business growth and support progress towards strategic objectives.

This is a highly visible role which demands an individual who will relish the opportunity to genuinely influence the shape and size of the organisation. The successful applicant will be required to conduct a demanding field-based role, assuming sales responsibility for the business area.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in creating business conversations and specification, in other words, they will know how to sell and generate innovative ideas that come from a deep understanding of the customer, product and industry.

Principal Accountabilities
  • To lead and motivate the sales function within the business across Key Account customers, ensuring that CCF achieves as much ‘share of wallet’ as possible.
  • To select and performance manage Key Account customers to achieve sales profit and product mix targets.
  • To anticipate and respond to Key Account customer and Key supplier needs, in order to build compelling propositions and foster mutually beneficial working relationships and arrangements.
  • To monitor and effectively respond to competitor activity, in order to maintain optimal competitive positioning for TP across existing and potential Key Account customers and Key suppliers.
  • To effectively engage all internal stakeholders, especially regional teams, to ensure alignment of operational requirements to meet and exceed Key Account customer and Key supplier targets.  
  • To proactively lead and manage working relationships and negotiations with existing and potential main contractors, in order to build and sustain a robust business development pipeline.
  • To influence the development of Group Key Account / Business Development initiatives and ensure they are effectively launched, communicated and embedded, to drive value for CCF.
  • To identify growth opportunities in strategically aligned or new product areas and build appropriate business cases for sign off.
