The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in a career in buying. Joining our team as a Category Assistant for the Strategic Procurement team, you will be a valued part of the Commercial Department. You’ll support the Strategic Procurement Manager, gaining responsibility for developing insight into our suppliers performance to support and take part in key negotiations with our suppliers


You will be working across many of our product categories understanding the opportunities and challenges that are being faced across our world wide supplier base.You will gain valuable exposure to the commercial world and develop vital skills to build a successful career.

We are looking for individuals that are, ideally, educated to degree level and have been awarded a 2:2 or above in a Business, Marketing, Numerical or Science related degree.


On top of your academic achievements and experience, we’re looking for a real interest in gaining exposure to the commercial side of the Wickes business as part of developing your career with us
