A little about the role…


We are currently looking for a Digital experience Manager to join the team. The role will mean you are responsible for designing, maintaining and improving the customer experience of all of our digital channels ensuring that customer interaction with digital channels are positive.  You will also be managing the content, UX and data elements of the website to optimise category and product presentation in order to deliver great journeys and customer interactions. You will also be leading a team of design and data specialists to continuously improve the presentation and effectiveness of digital channels.


Principle Accountabilities…


  • Accountable for the management and continuous improvement of the user experience online via our BAU activity plan and promotional activities

  • Build, monitor and maintain a plan for the design team to manage changes and promotional activities to content and banners on the website, leveraging support from ecommerce trading and studio teams to ensure all activity is executed to agreed time and quality

  • Champion the customer online by identifying their needs and expectations through a variety of research, including, but not limited to: Group Insight, multi-variant testing, web performance measures and competitor desk and field research

  • Lead the data and content teams to ensure that product data quality is maintained and content requirements for categories and promotions are delivered, with particular focus on improving the websites SEO performance

  • Line Manage a team of designers on a day to day basis ensuring that all activity is planned and executed efficiently and the design team are developed into a high functioning creative resource

  • Develop rapid prototypes with the design team to showcase solutions and demonstrate improvements to customer journeys or improved solutions to customer problems

  • Collaborate with Brand and Marketing colleagues to ensure that designs created aligns to the broader marketing plan and brand proposition

  • Maintain the online section of the Wickes brand guidelines, driving consistency across all channels whilst ensuring brand guidelines are effective for online presentation

  • Regularly review data and insights to identify obstacles or barriers in the customer journey in order to prioritise design resource to fix and resolve issues on digital channels


What we are looking for in you?


Experience


  • Degree Educated

  • Managing customer experience on retail websites - digital specialist with a passion for driving customer best practice changes on the website

  • Leading a team in a high pressure, quick changing corporate environment


Skills


  • Able to juggle priorities across several stakeholders and initiatives based on long and short term needs

  • Strong communicator and manager - able to engage and motivate the design and content teams

  • Ability to communicate and engaged at all levels

  • Able to present designs and journey changes in a visual and compelling way
