Estimating Manager
Location: Crick, Northamptonshire, NN6 7SL
Hours: 40 Monday to Friday

Estimating is more than just producing technically accurate product and pricing info, Estimating offers the confidence to our customers that we can price, supply and deliver the right products at the right time allowing the successful completion of their projects. So to manage our Estimating team naturally takes more than just delegation and performance reviews.

As our Estimating Manager, you’ll lead by example in providing a seamless estimation service with a team of Estimators working with our customers to calculate the exact material type and quantity, that are then translated into accurate quotations which have pulled through the relevant product and pricing data.

Your team will consist of dedicated Estimators that support our branch network nationally mainly working on Heating and Plumbing projects. Whilst ensuring our customer's expectations are met through maintaining lead times and looking at opportunities to increase productivity you’ll also take ownership of pricing for estimates that are outside of standard guidelines.

You’ll also take the lead on:
Developing a consistent approach to scheduling and archiving and maintaining a best in class service
Benchmarking prices that reflect our target market

Experience within an Estimating role would be beneficial but not essential to allow you and the team to successfully meet customer expectations along with the ability to interpret technical specifications whilst also having strong commercial awareness. Knowledge/experience of the Plumbing & Heating industry and product ranges is again beneficial but not essential as this will allow you to really understand our customers needs. However strong management experience is essential as you will need to proactively manage your team.
