The Role

A key support role within the Executive Recruitment Practice that forms part of the well established Group Resourcing Team, supporting the entire group business in talent acquisition.

The Executive Recruitment Coordinator will play a key role in developing and delivering a high quality Executive Recruitment service for the Travis Perkins Group. As the team’s specialist in executive research the role holder is responsible for specific market intelligence, market mapping, the creation of reports, and brand materials, they will help to give the team a clear internal identity based on data and reporting.

The Researcher’s role will be varied with plenty of competing priorities.  There is a consistent need to provide research for open requirements and quickly create long-lists using LinkedIn Recruiter, the ATS and other appropriate tools. In addition, working closely with the Executive Team Lead, the role is responsible for mapping, research and creating pipelines of potential candidates related to forward forecasts of potential business requirements.

Given the evolving nature of research and data capture in recruitment, the Researcher will have a natural curiosity to engage and use new tools that help deliver the day job and give Travis Perkins a competitive advantage.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Candidate identification to create long-lists in a timely manner for 'live' executive recruitment requirements c£100 + roles

  • Working in collaboration with the Executive Recruitment Lead and Executive Recruiter to create high quality candidate short-lists

  • Approach and engagement with potential candidates for specific opportunities

  • Ensure that all material to be presented to stakeholders and candidates is of a high quality and represents the brand well.

  • Act as the guardian for all data and reporting within their business areas including short-lists, long-lists and capture within the ATS, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date at all times and compliant with Data Protection/GDPR obligations

  • Either in partnership with the Executive Recruiter or of own volition creation of individual candidate profiles from CVs, LinkedIn data and initial telephone interviews.

  • Collaboration with resourcers and sourcers in other recruitment teams to develop greater organisational capability in identifying and engaging potential talent for Travis Perkins

What are we looking for?

As an established Executive Recruitment function within a high paced, transformational, FTSE 250 business, we are looking for someone to work within the team to help further advance our capability within this specialist area. The complexity of the business, the pace and diversity of requirements across corporate functions creates a unique and challenging role in this space.

  • Experience within a research environment in an in-house executive recruitment team or an external executive search firm.

  • Proven track record of delivering high quality executive search market mapping and long lists on complex senior searches, ideally within corporate functions (IT, Finance, HR, Commercial etc)

  • A highly capable communicator; will be able to articulate the meaning of research and data to Executive Recruitment team members as well as being comfortable approaching candidates about specific opportunities.

  • A proven ability to identify trends in data, with a strong attention to detail and ability to think creatively to generate new ideas for challenging recruitment searches.

  • Advanced recruitment research skills including capability to utilise LinkedIn Recruiter alongside knowledge of using Boolean strings to develop searches.

  • Previous exposure to recruitment software and an ability to utilise this effectively to produce research material

  • Naturally collaborative will seek out colleagues in other teams to continue to develop sourcing and research skills.
