We have a opportunity as a Stock Finance Analyst to join our expanding Finance department based at our Head Office in Northampton. You’ll be joining a growing and diverse team, and have the opportunity to learn from experienced Finance professionals who will help guide you in your role. We will provide you with all the tools you need in order to build a career in Finance.

Travis Perkins are a UK leader in the building materials and home improvement markets and we have been recognised as one of Britain’s Top Employers since 2010. Our Stock Finance team manage the activities of the Group’s Stock portfolio. The Travis Perkins plc group has £700-£800m of stock. Our Group Stock Finance team supports over 2500 branch stock takes annually.

Within this role, you’ll build strong relationships with our Stock Finance department, Group and divisional finance. You’ll also:

• Learn support & help develop the Gross Margin Variance calculation & reporting.

• Learn support & help develop the Goods in Transit calculation & reporting.

• Assist with the timely and accurate production of the monthly accounts, including preparing the Gross stock journals for the whole group to strict deadlines.

• Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations within agreed timescales and to an accurate level.

• Answer stock count queries from branches & business unit management.

• Understand & maintain of the Buying & Inflation gains database.

• Ad hoc projects as required to meet the needs of the business.

As a minimum, you will need to be part qualified with some experience of working within a dynamic finance function. Whilst you will will receive plenty of support, you’ll also need to be proactive, be confident and have excellent communication skills.
