We have a great opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our Travis Perkins team based in Northampton to work with our Product Supply and Transport teams at the heart of our 5 year plan. You’ll be working on many exciting projects and have the chance to make a name for yourself to the senior leadership team.

What you’ll do
Our Supply Chain finance team supports the business by providing timely and insightful financial information alongside data analysis and interpretation. As Finance Business Partner for Transport & Stock, you will be the lead business partner to the Travis Perkins Fleet Director and Head of Product Supply, to understand the key financial and performance metrics supporting the operational delivery of Transport and Stock Management, and influencing business improvement across these functions.
Alongside the above, you’ll also:
  • Be on point for Finance at monthly steering groups that provide the senior team with clear data that is easily understood and can be used to drive actionable insights
  • Manage investment appraisal business cases for matters relating to Branch Transport and Product Supply, modelling the impact on financial return and capital investment requirements
  • Manage the production of the 3 Year Plan, budget and forecasting cycles for stock and transport. Working closely with business partners and operations finance teams to help deliver a robust output
  • Continuously challenge current processes and recommend improvements to all aspects of reporting and analysis. Strive to improve processes and reduce time on data production, allowing focus on value adding analysis and recommendations
  • Plan and manage projects to improve processes or investigate and act on reasons behind performance variances
  • Produce KPI reports and develop insightful analysis to drive improved business performance.
  • Be a self starting, active member of the wider finance team who seeks out new opportunities within the remit of their current role and has a willingness to work across all areas of the team to assist others

Is this you?
To be considered you’ll need to be a qualified/part qualified accountant, ideally with business partnering experience. Specific stock and/or transport experience would be great but not essential. We are looking for you to be able to build strong rapport with the team whilst not being afraid to challenge where required. We will also need you to be able to communicate across the business with both finance and non-finance people and be ambitious and keen to learn and develop!
