Job Description

Finance - Cash & Banking Manager 
Location - Northampton 
Division: Plumbing & Heating
Grade: M1

Our Plumbing &Heating Division are currently recruiting for a Finance -  Cash & Banking Manager.

Based in Northampton and part of a wider Accounts Receivable and Cash & Banking Team, you will utilise your people management skills to ensure your team meet financial, productivity and quality targets, developing a coaching culture with positive performance and behavioural results.

  • Ensure there are appropriate controls and reconciliations of branch banking and receipts and to appropriately resolve any discrepancies
  • Manage branch queries and investigate any shorts/overs relating to branch banking.  
  • Be the key point of contact for branches on all banking issues
  • Lead the reporting on cash, financial controls and all other major banking performance indicators as well as escalation of any fraud risks
  • Delivery of accurate and full Bank account and balance sheet reconciliations each month.
  • Ownership of the financial ledger mapping of all transactions and maintenance of this with the IT function.  Also the point of contact for any new system developments impacting cash.
  • Support the management of the cash position of the Division
  • Manage a team of 1 x Finance Analyst and 2 x Finance Admin, this will include the recruitment, training and development of this team.

What we are looking for:
  • Accounting Qualification
  • Experience in leading a Cash & Banking Department
  • Accounting experience, including Reconciliations and balances
  • Excellent computer and technology related skills, including Microsoft Office systems.
