Keyline Finance Director

The Role

To provide the MD and the Keyline business leadership team with the business and market insight to identify the longer term strategic initiatives and short term opportunities to drive the growth of the business.  Working closely with the senior leadership team driving business performance, shaping and delivering the business plan through provision of customer, supplier and product information.  

Principal Accountabilities

• Accountable to the Managing Director to work with the Keyline Board to successfully influence the strategic direction, commerciality and profitability of the business.

• Provides relevant and timely insight to support and challenge business and commercial decisions.

• Produce budgets and forecasts for the business to support the delivery of its strategy and the reporting and governance requirements of the Group. 

• Challenge, influence and support the business team to deliver improved sales, profitability and returns through growth strategies, margin optimisation, pricing strategy, new markets, cost management and operational efficiency.

• Ensure the provision of pro-active and value-added reporting, insight, analysis and KPIs at business and Group level. 

• Working with the wider Finance team, to ensure the business team is fully aware of performance against plan (AOP), the drivers of key variances and the practical steps to be taken for remedial action.

• Identify and propose creative, practical and actionable plans for performance improvements that add value to the business.

• Working with Commercial to analyse and challenge commercial agreements and ensure reconciliation of commercial settlements.

• Manage the working capital levels for the business to achieve performance in line with agreed targets embodied in monthly, annual and strategic plans. (To include capital expenditure, stock levels, debtor levels and creditor).

As the scope of this role involves the provision of advice to the MD and the business board, as well as consideration of the varied financial needs of the business operations, commercial and supply chain, you will have demonstrable experience in effectively influencing and challenging at all levels.

We are looking for someone who is resilient and clear thinking with the drive and enthusiasm to ensure delivery of effective financial analysis and advice to our senior teams to ensure improvement in business performance.
