Are you a highly motivated, qualified ACA or ACCA Financial Accountant with great attention to detail and strong communication skills? We currently have an opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our Travis Perkins team based in Northampton.

What you’ll do
As a Group Financial Accountant, you will be a key part of the financial reporting team as we prepare our Annual Report and statutory reporting, produce the Group consolidation and maintain financial control within the organisation. Already technically strong, you will become a technical expert as you help interpret and implement new accounting standards across the Group. You will take part in various projects, including demerger of Wickes and Group simplification. 
You will also be responsible for ensuring Group accounting processes remain compliant with Group policy and accounting standards, as well as taking responsibility for proposing and implementing process changes to streamline procedures. Alongside this, you will design and give training on controls across the business and monitor the implementation of our controls framework, as well as preparing and reviewing head office account reconciliations.

Already fully qualified, we’re looking for you to have brilliant attention to detail, commitment to quality and strong technical knowledge. We’ll need you work well independently, whilst using your great communication skills to build strong relationships across the business. 
We’d also love for you to be passionate about developing others and use your mentoring skills to support junior members of the team as they work towards qualification.
