Job Description

The Role
 
Working as part of the Keyline Commercial Team, the Head of Category & Pricing is a new position, a pivotal role that will lead the Keyline category and pricing teams in defining and executing commercial plans. As a key member of the leadership team, you will support the Commercial Director and drive the Keyline business strategy while maintaining robust collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
 
Principle Accountabilities will include:
  • Managing and developing a team of 9 colleagues through an inclusive environment ensuring they are aligned to the Keyline strategic direction, motivated, and support our company values
  • Leading and developing cross-functional and TP Group collaborative relationships across all brands
  • Leading negotiations, strategy and selection of suppliers for the categories across Keyline and the wider TP Group.  
  • Approving category strategy sales, margin & stock impact (mandated product & supplier, pricing)
  • Setting the selling price for products. The role will approve major changes to pricing / risk impact
  • Approving category promotional plan, impact of trading terms changes or supplier price increases

What are we looking for?

Extensive commercial experience gained in a B2B environment either working in a commercial category  management and ideally with a detailed knowledge of merchanting channel dynamics including supplier and market characteristics.

An inspiring leader with strong communication and collaboration skills who is able to adapt leadership style for different environments to deliver a positive outcome is a must. 
 
The breadth of the role encompasses key supplier trading relationships, ranging and pricing decisions, and so requires someone with strong applied analytical skills using data to drive decisions, with the ability to shape and execute the commercial strategy. 
 
You will have direct responsibility for forging strong and credible relationships with suppliers, so having a collaborative and engaging leadership style is a must. You will also lead and coach a large team, therefore a natural coaching style and proven track record in inspiring performance is a must.
 
Experience or working in a leadership role currently within a fast-paced and matrix’d group environment is essential, as the role requires exceptional communication and influencing skills engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders both internally across the group and externally too.
