We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Professional to join us, reporting initially to the Group Health and Safety Director to help shape and evolve Toolstation's approach to health, safety and colleague well-being.  This is an exciting opportunity where no two days will be the same.  At a strategic level you'll write the businesses safety improvement plan in partnership with the senior management team and then implement it across the branch and Distribution Centre network, as well as maintaining the Safety Management System and working with our audit team to provide assurance.  You'll also be delivering Health and Safety training for branch and regional managers, supporting them undertake risk assessments and incident investigations.  You'll also be part of the Group's Health and Safety function which means there are other safety professionals who you will be able bounce ideas off as well as outstanding career development opportunities.

It would be great if you had…


  • Hold  at least a NEBOSH Certificate
  • Graduate or Technical member of IOSH

  • Previous experience in a multi site safety advisory role

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Time Management: Ability to work effectively independently

  • Able to present to BMs & RD level

  • IT skills (word, excel, powerpoint etc)

  • A sound technical understanding of Health & Safety

  • Goal focused

  • Ability to influence at branch level and work at all levels

  • Be Engaging  and passionate
