It’s a challenge that requires a committed, forward thinking community of professionals. That’s why we’re looking for a highly motivated graduate with a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Health.

Our Health & Safety Graduate opportunity will provide you with the necessary building blocks to kick start your career with the Travis Perkins Group, helping us improve our safety culture and performance across our 2000+ sites. Joining a dedicated Stay Safe Team, your primarily focus will be on the Scotland region for our General Merchanting Division.

You can expect to be involved in a wide range of SHE activities and vital projects that add value to our business from day one. From carrying out Risk Assessments and investigating incidents, to leading improvement activity, this scheme will enable you to develop the skills, knowledge and experience you need.  

You’ll be given responsibility from the start and from your drive and enthusiasm, we will help develop you so that you can partner with the business. Working as part of a high performing team, there will always be someone on hand to offer support, mentoring and advice to help you to be the best.

Who are we looking for?

To succeed, you'll need to be dedicated and self-motivated, with the ability to tackle multiple tasks, deal with the unexpected and produce results in tough conditions.

A good communicator, you'll develop strong working relationships and have the confidence to influence at all levels across the business.

With an interest in SHE issues, you’ll be passionate about continuous improvement and building a strong Health and Safety culture. Utilising your strong numerical and analytical skills, you'll relish the chance to lead projects, make decisions and have a real impact across our business.

Along with the above, you’ll also need:
- 2:1 degree or above in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Health

- Driving License and own transport - due to the nature of the role being regional
