Customer Service Administrator

Brackmills Industrial Estate, Northampton

30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible hours of work.


The Travis Perkins Group Plc have a great opportunity for a Customer Service Administrator to join our Direct Hire department. The main responsibility of this role is to provide exceptional customer service to all account and cash customers, as well as branches within the network, whilst maintaining great relationships with our approved suppliers, to backup our service level commitments.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide an exceptional customer service, answering telephone calls and emails, in a polite, positive and courteous manner.

  • Produce and follow up all quotations in a timely manner and capture information on lost orders.

  • Produce orders accurately to ensure credit notes are kept to a minimum and customer experience positive.

  • Maintain a good all round knowledge of our fleeted equipment to ensure it is fully utilised.

  • Maintain a good all round knowledge of products and services offered by our approved suppliers.

  • Record daily calls, email and sales activity.

  • Provide a service that ensures we fully support the Branch Network.

  • Ensure all customers/suppliers queries are actioned and resolved in a timely manner.

Someone with a positive manner, who is resilient and tenacious with the drive and enthusiasm to deliver exceptional results in a fast paced, ever changing, environment.  You must be a passionate individual with excellent customer service skills and have the ability to see things through the customer’s eyes whilst keeping your cool in a high call volume environment.

And be:

  • Self motivated, confident and enthusiastic with a desire to exceed the Direct Hire Commitments;

  • Have excellent communication skills at all levels, verbally and written.

  • Have excellent customer service skills

  • Previous experience within a similar environment

  • Ability to work on own initiative, alone as well as within a team

  • Ability to commit to change

  • Ability to work under pressure in a high call and email volume environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organisation and customers.
