Job Description

HR Assistant 6 Month FTC Location: Northampton

Are you someone with a passion for HR, who is looking for an opportunity to showcase their skill set? We have a fantastic opportunity to establish your career in a busy, impactful HR Function. This role will have a wide scope of responsibility, with exposure to HR Directors and teams across the Travis Perkins Group, covering a broad range of HR initiatives. This is a transitional role into a HR career and will evolve to offer you some invaluable development opportunities.


Within this role, you will provide vital support to a small but key team of HR Directors and HR Project Team members, which will include:


  • Project Managing activity to ensure delivery of the plan, timely decisions and managing risks.

  • Collate, analyse and present HR data.

  • Participate in a variety of HR related workstreams

  • Building relationships with key stakeholders within the divisions, businesses and HR functions.

  • Act as a key communications link between the Project Leads, colleagues and contacts.  

  • Support the team with day to day administration, including meeting preparation and minute taking.


What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with a passion to develop their HR Career. You may be a recent HR Graduate, or have shown your interest in the subject by undertaking a HR related course. This is a key role within the organisation so you will need to show previous secretarial or administrative experience.  You will be the kind of person who can effectively plan and organise their workload, with the initiative to resolve issues quickly and in an appropriate manner.
