What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Communications Manager, to achieve and maintain 75% engagement by regular communication to ensure Wickes colleagues are always informed, involved and inspired.
The ideal candidate will be the central point of call and responsible for the day to day management of operational communication channels - from content creation to channel execution, ensuring channel content is always up to date and relevant. The communications Manager, will work with key stakeholders cross functionally to source key business messages and build constructive relationships. The role, will also provide support to the Head of Communications and Engagement on any projects to achieve our five year plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Head of Communications and Engagement to manage the communications strategy
Management of communications channels - develop, write and edit communications to ensure it's simple, clear and aligned to the Wickes tone of voice
Managing strong day to day stakeholder relationships
Develop and deliver campaign communication strategies
Reacting to changes quickly and handling a number of different projects at one time
Ensure that communications between the Support Centre and stores are effective
To deliver timely, accurate and engaging communications to our colleagues
Meet tight deadline and channel rhythm and routines
Understand/measure effectiveness of channels and communications

What We’re Looking For
Educated to a degree level, ideally a degree in communications along with a good level of written and verbal english
Essentially experience in communications, ideally within internal communications in a retail environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Posses video editing/production skills to manage the various communication channels
Have a sound understanding of internal communication
Knowledge of retail, and understands the importance of customer focus environment
The ability to work well in a fast paced team and works well under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills and has the ability to build relationships
Desire to learn and develop
