Lead Driver - Wickes

The role we're recruiting for:

The role of Lead Driver is to manage a safe, cost effective and customer driven outbase operation.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Develop a culture based on a safe working environment both on site and out on the road

• To ensure adherence to laws and company policies pertaining to the safe and compliant operation of company vehicles

• To ensure site compliance to legal and company H&S audit standards

• To ensure optimum staffing levels on site to meet company objectives and in line with budget

• Identify areas to reduce damages and shortages in line with wider business objectives

• Coach and develop own team within existing roles and in line with succession plan

• Ensure that crews at all times operate in line with company delivery procedures and SSOW

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 1 year as LGV2 driver

• Current LGV2, DCPC and Digicard   

• Working knowledge of Transport Operations/Law

• Strong geographical knowledge

• IAM/ROSPA Advanced Driving

• Formal administrative qualification

• Knowledge and experience of transport legislation

• Customer focus

• Reliable, tolerant and determined.
