If so then Travis Perkins are currently recruiting for a Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing team.

At the heart of Travis Perkins is our customer. The trade relies on us as their local Timber & Builders Merchant to do whatever it takes to keep them on track. Whether it’s next day, oversize or a big surprise...we get it sorted.

The role of Marketing Assistant will report to the Customer Marketing Executive. The successful candidate will support the team in the delivery of Travis Perkins’ CRM campaign suite and tactical direct marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including direct mail, email and SMS. As the Marketing Assistant you will also be supporting with the development of Travis Perkins’ Social Media strategy and sourcing regular content to grow our social audience and engagement.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting with customer acquisition activity to grow Travis Perkins’ customer base

• Managing the delivery of our CRM suite across multiple channels

• Reviewing campaign performance to help improve campaign results and share these highlights with the wider business

• Working closely with the Customer Marketing Executive to interpret customer insight and analytics to make decisions on segmentation and profiling in order to form campaign approaches

• Developing and present marketing campaign plans to all levels within the business

• Contributing towards Year on Year growth in our key categories, Heavyside, Timber, Shop and Tool Hire through our seasonal targeted Direct Mail campaigns

• Supporting  the development of our social media strategy to deliver regular and reactive content to deliver audience growth and increase engagement

• Carrying out regular performance reviews of social media activity across all channels

• Sourcing content for social media by building strong relationships with the wider business

• Working closely with our Media Agency to design and deliver paid social campaigns

• Working with the wider Marketing Team to ensure a joined up approach to deliver against our annual marketing plan

• Working collaboratively with our internal and external agencies and build relationships with key Stakeholders across the business

• Supporting with ad hoc marketing campaigns and promotions amongst other marketing team responsibilities

What you’ll need:

• A keen interest in Marketing, with experience in a similar role

• Ability to  demonstrate an understanding of marketing disciplines including; direct marketing, email marketing, social media.

• A Marketing or Business degree or equivalent qualification would be an advantage

• You will be results driven, customer and business focused with good analytical and numerical skills

• Confident presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels across the business

• Proven track record of delivering under cost and to deadlines

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong time management and organisational skills

• Enthusiastic, proactive self- starter

• Hands-on team player

• Have an approachable and friendly manner

• Keep cool under pressure
