Marketing Assistant - Customer

Crick - Northamptonshire 

Full Time - 37.5 Mon- Fri

Our Plumbing and Heating Division, currently has a fantastic Marketing Assistant opportunity. The successful candidate will compliment our Customer & Brand Marketing team, supporting them with the delivery of annual marketing plan within time frames and budget, with responsibility for supporting and developing the brand profiles and customer initiatives (for both internal and external) across our brands.


The role


Working alongside the Marketing Manager, you will:


- Be the brand and customer champion for each of the brands within the P&H Division ensuring consistency of brand use across different channels and departments and providing brand support to all internal and external stakeholders. 


- Promote the brand profiles and propositions across the division and externally, developing clear communications in line with brand guidelines.


- Help to monitor industry and competitor activity, maintain the competitor tracker and use customer insight across the Division to support decision making and development of customer initiatives.


- Help manage the day-to-day running of the customer loyalty programmes to increase brand awareness, support customer retention and recruitment, and support colleagues to help with customer growth and KPIs, making sure the customer is central to everything we do. Support development and changes to CRM collateral to help nurture and grow our customer base.    


- Support the implementation and day-to-day running of customer and business initiatives that will help to drive the business forward and differentiate us from our competitors across the brands and provide support for Social media initiatives and promotion.


- Work with agencies to arrange above the line marketing activity using the complete media mix including advertising, social media and industry events.


- Provide day-to-day support for own brand marketing to improve awareness internally and externally..


- Coordinate and deliver the Social Media plans and content generation for our brands making sure it links back to Business objectives.


- Work with the commercial and online teams to develop the product plan, content generation and KPIs for social media targeting, liaise with HR to highlight our career opportunities and support recruitment, work with Brand Marketing to highlight the brand proposition messaging for our customers and support business activity and long term strategy.


- Support customer service with the management and responses to Community management across all the Social Media platforms to ensure our customers are responded to in a timely manner and support brand protection, reputation and customer service.


- Support the Customer & Brand Marketing team with absences and work proactively to support colleagues within the wider Marketing team to drive best practice and establish best in class ways of working.


Candidate Requirements 


- 12 months marketing experience is required in addition to:

- Creative thinking

- Knowledge of publications processes

- Good copywriting, editing and proof-reading skills

- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to work to tight deadlines

- Good communication skills and comfortable dealing with different stakeholders

- Well-organised with strong multi-tasking skills

- Broad understanding of Social Media channels, uses and reporting requirements to drive business and build brand awareness

- Customer focus

- Numerate and able to conduct data analysis

- Comfortable with IT and learning new software 

- Commercial awareness to always ensure best value
