Night Shift - Operations Manager 
Working Hours -  Monday to  Friday 10pm - 6am

Location - Warrington

The Role: 

We are looking for an Operations Manager Working within a team of 5 operational managers on site to ensure that the operation meets all service and cost targets specified. Working to manage the resource models and  subsequent manning on site across all areas and to set budget targets. To work closely with all key stakeholders is a prerequisite of the role across the site and estate including 3pl partners.  Support the Site Senior Management in setting people and, health and safety agendas are also fundamentals of the job. Ensuring that Health and Safety is at the forefront of everything we do.

Principle Accountabilities:
  • To work within Operations manager team on site. Ensuring that the operation is run efficiently across all 3 shifts. 
  • To ensure the operational running of the site is not only run efficiently but more importantly safely as safety if our first priority.
  • To continually ensure that the approach to Health and safety is both bottom up and top down.
  • Work closely with the GM & AGM to set people, safety, performance and People engagement agendas. 
  • Be accountable for targets and strict reporting as specified to meet operational / financial targets set but also to meet the GM's meeting requirements or business reporting demands.
  • The incumbent , must be both influential and instrumental in all parts of the operation at all times to ensure best practice remains prevalent,  including and championing a continued improvement mentality / ethos.
Operational Accountabilities:
  • Work closely with the AGM to define, deploy & manage resource and equipment to optimise performance of the role specific shift
  • Ensure the operation meets all requirements by completing each function to the highest  standard.
  • To be responsible for the Health and Safety of yourself and your team by ensuring all tasks are carried out to the relevant procedures and by adhering to safe working practices at all times.
  • Ensure a high level of communication across shifts and functions to ensure that the 1 team, 1 goal culture is endorsed and demonstrated by all.
  • Support Agm, other Ops managers and FLM populations to support productivity, service and cost improvements across the whole site.
  • Persona and appearance to be maintained at a professional and acceptable standard at all times.
  • Ensure service failings/risks are escalated to the GM/AGM manager at the earliest opportunity with reason and rationale to avoid recurrence embedded in discussions.
  • Manage all system and area housekeeping in line with best practise standards.
  • Maintain and promote both the company and customers site cultures and values.
  • Ensure excellent Employee engagement to support continuous improvement results for the site and business.
  • Adherence to HR  policies at all times.
  • Any other reasonable request within the scope of the position

What you will have 
  • Excellent man management skills.
  • Proven communication skills – internally and externally.
  • Good IT skills – spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Sound analytical skills.
  • Minimum 2 years within a  Supply chain analytical environment.
  • Experience of managing a team of people / stakeholders
