Area Showroom Sales Manager - Covering the South and Central Home Counties

The role we're recruiting for:


As Area Show Room Manager, you will join our Bathroom Showroom Team,  to maximise sustainable profitable showroom sales by supporting the Showroom Managers across your region to drive excellent service in the City Plumbing Supplies bathroom showrooms.

You will be responsible for:

    Ensure that Showroom Sales Managers are proactive in generating business with existing and new customers, building and maintaining a robust and regular trade customer base.

    Ensure Showroom Sales Managers understand the company expectations and they demonstrate the required behaviours in delivering best in class customer service. Also ensure that the Showroom Sales Managers assume ownership of dealing with customer issues to resolution.

    Ensure showrooms within area of responsibility achieve/exceed their sales and trading margin AOPs.

    Ensure optimum margins are being achieved by the Showroom Sales Managers through the control of customer discounting and the use of Group preferred suppliers with Iflo products always being actively promoted.

    Coach high performing Showroom Sales Managers to further exceed and maximise showroom sales and targets. Identify and provide individual and group product and sales training by liaising with suppliers to ensure that all Showroom Sales Managers have the skills/knowledge to meet and exceed targets.

    To monitor and interpret competitor activity and propose appropriate plans for implementation to address any competitive impacts.

    Build an effective relationship with the Branch Managers to ensure the showroom remains an integral and contributing factor to achieving and exceeding branch and company AOP targets.

    Identify Showroom Sales Managers who are under-performing and create agreed action plans with them, their Branch Manager and Regional Director to improve sales performance, and ensure agreed action plans are being followed through.


It would be great if you had:

Strong communication skills and team leadership in order to influence others to deliver high standards of customer service.   You will have field based sales management experience and will have the drive, energy and enthusiasm to succeed.  Financially and commercially aware you will demonstrate a professional ability to interpret and analyse financial and statistical information.  It is essential that you have strong organisational skills to be able to build and develop your area to maximise available resources through effective planning and management.
