Regional Surveyor

National role with travel to the main office in Northampton 

We have a new and exciting opportunity within our Plumbing and Heating division to join the team as a Regional Surveyor.  

The Role - 
Provide a Property transactional and Estate Management function, acquisitions, disposals and Estates Management cases, within a geographical region.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Deliver individual units in accordance with P&H/BU new floor space plans within a geographical region
  • Prosecute disposal of surplus real estate assets/settle rent reviews/secure rate rebates in accordance with agreed strategies to maximise financial benefits within appropriate timescale
  • Support Head of FM/Branch Development in formulating regional initiatives.
  • Lead multi disciplined teams to deliver projects.
  • Direct legal advisers on all property matters involved in carrying out various functions outlined above
  • To provide verbal and written advice and recommendations to Senior Management on all acquisition, development and Estate Management matters including the P&H Property Director, P&H Property Director in order to ensure that effective decisions can be made in relation to Corporate Strategy
  • Deliver completed projects with all supporting and relevant information to Estate’s, FM, Estate’s Finance and Project Management Teams
  • To handle any other estates matters as requested by the P&H Property Director
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • You will hold a MRICS qualification
  • Well established individual with a proven track record in property acquisitions, disposals, rent reviews, lease renewals,  and general estate management with a proven track record in transactional work in the retail/industrial sectors.
  • Excellent communicator, well established network of contacts, strong negotiation skills and excellent time management attributes.
  • Property negotiation, Planning, Development Appraisals, contract law, construction methodology, landlord and tenant and rent review case law. 
  • Preferably well developed softer skills re communication and emotional intelligence.
  • Project management, design, Political/PR experience.
  • Ideally client side experience or private practice.
