Job Description

CCF is one of the UK's leading distributors of interior building products to professionals within the construction industry. We offer competitively-priced product ranges that include: ceilings, drywall, flooring, insulation, partitioning and fire protection, all of which are supplied from stock and delivered nationwide from over 40 branches.

To continue with our success and to keep achieving our goals, we’re on the lookout for an experienced, Regional Technical Sales Manager to cover the North and Scotland who has extensive specification and technical product knowledge.

What you’ll do
You will support the sales teams in your region, delivering high quality technical and specification support aligned to the varying customers needs in Insulation, Ceilings and Drywall solutions. 

Reporting into the Head of Technical and working as part of an external sales team, everything you do is focused on delivering our CCF external sales strategy and nurturing our values. You will identify opportunities in our core distribution led categories namely drywall, ceilings and insulation to gain specification with main contractors and architects by using company project management systems, market intelligence, publications and press as well as internal and external relationships. 

You will provide technical support to CCF by managing the commercial project activity with key specifiers and subcontractors whilst building strong key customer relationships within the specification sector. By doing this, you will achieve specification targets resulting in product sales to achieve external sales company targets. 

You will provide overall technical and specification knowledge to Framework agreements, support product performance decisions regarding the specifications of products and systems whilst negotiating the retention and specification of product for project sites through commercial and technical agreements. You’ll also ensure that major projects are tracked and maintain accurate records of all customer contacts and associated information using our systems.

Is this you?
You will have a good understanding of the CCF industry and our core product ranges namely drywall, ceilings and insulation with commercial awareness and the ability to interpret financial information. 
Your communication and interpersonal skills will be excellent to allow you to successfully engage with customers and colleagues alike across CCF and the wider TP Group. 
You will have previous experience writing specifications and providing technical support to main contractors with an impactful ability to communicate the value proposition. 
You must have detailed knowledge and understanding of regulatory drivers (ADE, PART L, HTM, BB etc) as well as of the building process and impact of decisions on other trades and programmes. 
You will also have an understanding of commercial roles and responsibilities within a contractor and procurement process as well as of commercial rebate arrangements with contractors. 
Your organisational and time management skills will be excellent as you drive the business forward by improving performance and sales. 
You will be motivated with the drive and initiative to succeed and to deliver results for the business.
