Are you seeking a customer focused sales assistant role where no 2 days are the same? Are you confident in making a fantastic first impression, building long-lasting relationships and going above and beyond to provide a great service to our customers? 


BSS is a supplier of pipeline, process, heating and mechanical services equipment; our customers range from large national contractors (the projects we support make us very proud!) to small, local independents, our customers are varied and so are our jobs. 

Where will you be working?

You will be working alongside some great individuals at our branch on Nuffield Industrial Estate in Oxford. We are a team of 13 and we run 3 delivery vehicles! Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 0730-1700 and alternate Saturdays 0800-1200.


You don’t need an in-depth knowledge of builders merchants to join the team, as there will be plenty of coaching and training to get you up to speed, we’ll give you the confidence to deliver the exceptional service we expect.

What will you be doing?

Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.  You will handle requests, provide information on our products, prepare quotes and help each customer with their purchase, taking our sales from good to great.  You will learn how to negotiate with our suppliers and customers and you will also be responsible for ensuring the safe and correct movement of our products around the branch. Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, by adhering to all stay safe policies and procedures.
