Showroom Manager - NEW BRANCH OPENING - EXETER.
We have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Showroom Manager to join our business and support the opening of our new Flagship branch in Exeter. With a potential open date at the end of Spring 2021, our Flagship branch will be located in the middle of the busiest Trading Estate in Exeter, and will become the premier builders merchant across Cornwall and Devon.
The role of Showroom Manager in Benchmarx is one of the most challenging yet rewarding positions in our business, and this is no exception. Exeter will become our largest branch in our South West region. With a mix of existing and a newly recruited team of around 7, the branch will also have a full Tool Hire and Travis Perkins with 6 delivery vehicles.
Working with your branch management team and Regional Director, you play a vital role in our continued success. You’ll support the delivery of our Doing What Matters strategy for both colleagues and customers at a local level through amazing operational effectiveness. Leading your new and existing team from the front, making sure we are working better for customers and providing a first class service, controlling costs, and keeping colleagues and customers safe within branch at all times
What will I be doing?
Joining our family as a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of your branch. With your Assistant Branch Manager by your side, you’ll make sure the safety of all colleagues is a top priority and ensure daily checks are carried out to make sure the branch runs smoothly.
With a hands on approach, and a high-performing team by your side, you’ll have the freedom to run your branch whilst achieving targets and maximising sales through maintaining relationships and working closely with the local trade.
Working closely with your team is the key to your success as a Branch Manager, you will lead by example and motivate your team to achieve their best and support both personal development and professional progression. Recognising that each member of your branch brings different strengths and qualities, you will work with each individual on their personal development to build a strong team that works together to increase sales.
You don’t necessarily need to have experience within the industry to excel in this role, all we ask for is experience of leading a team and driving sales. Having a Full UK Drivers licence is essential for this role as you will be required to travel.
