Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Supply Chain Development & Service Lead within our Supply Chain function at Ryehill House Northampton. 

Responsible for managing the overall support, development, implementation and optimisation of services, in accordance with IT project plans, standards and methodology to support our strategy, business goals and opportunities. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a Development/Operations team and be accountable for Stakeholder relationships into the business, ensuring that SLA's are met and results are delivered.


Main responsibilities of the role: 

  • Accountable for managing the end to end development process from definition of the ‘Statement of Work’ (SOW), detailed business analysis through impact assessment, requirement definition, development, implementation and post-implementation reviews. Delivery to the estimated time and costs will be the key measures
  • Oversee 24/7 operational support and assurance of the service(s) across DevOps team, defining and achieving the agreed SLAs and OLAs.
  • Providing leadership to a DevOps team, engendering an environment where talent is encouraged and developed. Line Management including setting and maintaining objectives, development plans, managing performance and identify training needs.
  • Support the Service platform road map, in line with business and customer needs, development requirements and the target architecture and principles. Capture and develop road map recommendations from user feedback and for the optimisation of the services.
  • Define, track and report service costs and critical success factors. Communicate service performance to stakeholders. Acting as a key interface to business stakeholders and other service teams.
  • Be the prime platform vendor for any technical relationships, provide market insight and promote adoption of future platform features. Assist with vendor selections. Ensure the platform stays in support and ensure upgrades are planned and fully tested. Liaise with other platform teams to coordinate configurations and deployments as part of larger solution development activities
  • Determine the approach for the project or programme. Outline the deliverable s, timelines, budget and maintenance of any documentation produced
  • Monitor and effectively manage the performance of 3rd party suppliers

  • Previous experience within or an understanding of Supply Chain. 
  • Risk Management and Conflict resolution experience
