Business Intelligence Analyst - Supply Chain MI Manager

We, at Travis Perkins have a varied and exciting opportunity as a Business Intelligence Analyst - Supply Chain MI Manager, joining our General Merchanting Supply Chain Team in Brackmills, Northampton. You will provide one consistent view of the Divisional metrics, reports and analytics for compliance and operational performance in Supply Chain, Distribution, Transport and Quality Assurance. You will will have a particular focus on the creation of a suite of reports from our new JDA 9.1 WMS System, as you will be outlining your findings/analysis with our operational teams to develop best in class processes for efficiency, cost, stock, process enhancements and quality reporting.
Your creativity and engaging presentation skills will be highly utilised, as you will continuously evolve the provision of MI reporting and information using the latest technology, visualisation, innovation and best practice. You will make the insight easier to access and simpler to understand for the Supply Chain Leadership Team, along with other internal stakeholders.
Things you’ll need to know:
We happen to like complexity with the TP Group, so you’ll need to be able to ‘cut through the noise’ to quickly understand what needs to be achieved
We’re looking for your MI expertise within Supply Chain, as this opportunity will utilise your statistical analysis/interpreting of data for meaningful recommendations. Experience in the below is essential:
Data visualisation techniques (VBA)/SQL Programming
BI Analytics platforms/tools
Javascript and web technologies
Your relationship building and influencing skills will come into their own as you will partner and support Supply Chain Leadership and Management teams to find best practise for a more efficient and effective operation.
You’ll be analysing things such as stock, costs, processes, efficiency and our customer journey etc, so if you have a penchant for data and identifying trends then you’ll be feeling at home here
Please be aware that on an adhoc basis you will be required to travel to our other Distribution Centres across the UK.
