Category Supply Team Leader
What you'll do
We are looking for a Supply Chain Team Leader to join the Category Supply Planning Team, you will successfully lead and develop the Supply Chain Planning team (4 Planners) to support the overall growth of Toolstation. Still a relatively young business (established in 2003), we've achieved some amazing feats but we want to do even more; changing the game, disrupting the market and leading the way. That's why we need a talented Supply Chain specialist to help drive the team to deliver our plans. Your focus to lead and develop the Supply Chain Planning Team.Owning the stock forecasting, ordering, and expediting processes with the aim of improving availability within our distribution centres and 550 stores, whilst improving stock turn through active on hand stock management.
Managing the end to end life cycle of products via processes that in turn will support the overall growth of Toolstation. Providing a pivotal role between Buying, Distribution, and Retail to coordinate all aspects of the product life cycle from entry in Toolstation through to exiting stock from the business in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
Day-to-day
Manage - Manage a team of 4 to analyse and take decisive action in relation to slow moving stock and recommend action to be taken by business. Implement Catalogue cycle process for managing poor performing SKU’s and Implement and operate a stock-turn thought process across all departments
Lead - Ensuring the team all have active development plans, clear objectives and regular performance reviews.
Collaborating - Support Supply Chain Manager on implementing strategic and tactical direction for the business in a consistent way of working.
Improvement - Develop and improve the Supply Chain processes by bringing new lines into the business. Leading the team for promotional forecasting, to include Catalogue Promotions, Online deals, Spot deals and Front of House.
This role will require regular travel to include visits to HQ in Bridgwater, DC’s, suppliers and stores when applicable.

You understand the importance of forming strategic relationships to develop business opportunities and to influence change within relevant spheres. And you work to communicate organisational vision and to understand strategic priorities.
Continuous improvement - You strive to improve things by challenging existing thinking. You are innovative and will offer alternatives to traditional methods/approaches. You drive change through teams and will anticipate the impact of change whilst directing your team and others in smoothly shifting gears
Planning and organising - You’ll translate the company’s strategies into meaningful plans for the business. You can manage and plan complex multi layered projects and will fluently convey the plan to all, creating structure for communication and interaction.
Drive and Passion - You love what you do, pursue everything with energy, strive for self-development and motivate yourself and your team to achieve goals; driving those around you to succeed in their role.
