"Diwali is a festival which is not just celebrated by Hindus, but by Sikhs and Jains. It is the celebration of the triumph of good over evil, as represented in the story of Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana. It reminds us that no matter how difficult things might seem, the good will always win in the end.
Diwali is a 5 day festival, but for me it is a whole month of festivities. We start by cooking lots of Diwali food, doing a massive clean out in our homes, we do lots of diwali shopping such as indian sweets and to the extreme of buying gold. We spend time with our families and friends and make some amazing memories. Oh and can't forget the fireworks, this is the cherry on top for Diwali."
