Location: Guildford and surround areas
We’re looking to recruit an HVAC Application Engineer who will be responsible for providing comprehensive designs, quotations and technical support to help us achieve our ongoing market share development plans.
The role will be working from home with planned visits to branches and customers.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Selection of Air Source Heat Pumps, Water Source Heat Pumps, IT Cooling to meet customer and specification requirements.
- Liaising with customers to understand a project specification and provide a fully designed and costed solution.
- Communicating with customers to establish design and application requirements, via site surveys, teams call, emails and phone calls.
- Offering advice on product range and product performance
- Using selection software packages to aid design and technical specifications. (Training will be provided)
- Preparing a fully engineered quotation.
- Working alongside other team members to help identify customer needs and win orders.
- Provide technical assistance and support to customer enquiries.
- Liaison with internal staff to ensure products are manufactured to order.
- Converting specification into a commercial offering
- Working closely with our suppliers to understand full product range
What we are looking for:
- The successful candidate will be able to Interpret drawings and design specifications of HVAC projects, with use of specialist selection software, to help provide the appropriate solution.
- You’ll have proven experience from working in a similar role within the HVAC industry.
- Team player is essential.
- Knowledge of our current kit brands is a benefit, but not essential (Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, Clint, Samsung, Climaveneta)
- You'll be experienced within HVAC design or HVAC applications and be competent in providing a solution for customers. (Desired)
- A mechanical or equivalent degree preferred, with an interest and understanding of HVAC systems. (Desired)
- Previous or current career experience in HVAC without a degree will also be considered.
- Good communication skills are vital to liaise effectively with both customers and in-house engineering staff.
- Those from a related manufacturing field, M&E contracting, or M&E consulting would be suitable backgrounds.
- Mobility within the UK to visit sites, customers and our nationwide branches is essential for this role. Base location can be flexible (UK based).
