Yard Person / Relief Driver
Joining our friendly and hardworking team here at Keyline Braintree as a Warehouse Assistant / Relief Driver you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service.
What will I be doing?
You'll be working externally in the yard area, helping our already successful yard team with the loading and unloading of customer vehicles as well as our own fleet of vehicles. You will be heavily involved in dealing with stock replenishment and general housekeeping. Also, picking and packing stock ready for collection and deliveries.
During your time spent in the yard assistant role you will be provided with all the training and tuition you need to be able to successfully carry out the duties required.
Whilst carrying out the yard duties role you will also be asked to assist our fleet of vehicles covering customer deliveries as a relief driver.
At first you will be driving a 3.5T open backed style vehicle carrying out multi-drop deliveries of building materials from our branch to our local customers in a safe and professional manner, it’ll be your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is properly loaded, safe and in-line with road and transport legislation. After a six month probationary period, you would then be put forward for your HGV licence, so that you can step up to a larger vehicle as and when required.
