Staircraft is the leading manufacturer of Stairs, Floors, Mouldings and Door kits supplying high quality products into the Housebuilding and Builders Merchanting sectors. A part of the Travis Perkins Group, it is undergoing a period of significant development and expansion with investment in a new factory and the implementation of new products. We are looking for a highly driven and ambitious Sales Director to join our leadership team reporting directly into the Managing Director.
Key Accountabilities
Key member of the Staircraft leadership team, contributing to growth plans and business strategy
Set a clear and strategic customer plan identifying areas of development and growth, designing a structure that fosters productive partnerships.
Build strong Customer relationships across Nationals, Regionals and TP branches to drive commercial growth.
Be accountable for all sales related activities, including the development of accurate sales forecasts. Set ambitious targets and use data and measurement to maximise performance.
Drive a performance focussed culture within our sales teams, coaching and developing colleagues to ensure they’re at their best.
Develop strong working relationships with other functions of the Staircraft business and the wider Travis Perkins plc group to deliver against commercial targets
Provide influential leadership to the Staircraft sales team, delivery and design team and site liaison team (c.40 colleagues)
Monitor and analyse market trends, have an awareness of competitor activities and identify opportunities to ensure we remain market leading
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting regular reviews and maximising opportunities through a working partnership
What Are We Looking For?
Proven experience of running sales teams within large organisations
You’ll have a track record of delivering strong revenue and profit performances
A strong understanding of framework contract negotiation
You’ll possess a strong financial, business and commercial acumen
You’ll have a safety first mindset
You’ll be able to operate at pace, be a skilled communicator and be able to engage large teams on a journey of change
Being part of Travis Perkins plc, you’ll build strong working relationships with our groups support functions and other businesses, being able to collaborate with other teams is key to driving our agenda forward
