As an Employee Relations Administrator at Travis Perkins, you’ll be part of a highly engaged team, providing practical, responsive and compliant Employee Relations support, by undertaking a range of administrative/coordination activities. Enabling efficiencies to increase responsiveness and overall performance of the ER team. Your work will help the team stay focused on supporting our people.

This is a part-time, hybrid role based at our Head Office in Duston, Northampton. Ideal for someone who wants to contribute to meaningful HR work in a supportive and flexible environment.

Part Time, Permanent Contract

Working across 5 days (4 hours per day) 20 hours per week in total.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive administrative support to the ER team, including preparing redundancy calculations, collating data, and taking meeting notes.

  • Handle colleague queries via our CRM tool, such as contract requests and notice period questions.

  • Act as a point of contact for family leave and contract queries in partnership with our HR admin provider.

  • Respond efficiently to third-party employment reference requests.

  • Support the ER Manager with Subject Access Requests by collecting, reviewing, and redacting sensitive data.

  • Create and maintain weekly and monthly reports and support meeting preparation and follow-up.

  • Provide occasional cover support to the Employment Legal Services department.

This role is about being a steady hand and trusted teammate – keeping ER operations organised, compliant, and responsive to business needs.

You’ll also have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role (preferably within HR/ER)

  • Strong planning, organisational, and multitasking skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • High attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

  • Confidence working both independently and collaboratively in a team

  • Good understanding of data protection principles

  • Preferred working knowledge of Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides (or similar tools)

  • Desirable to have familiarity with CRM systems and HR platforms

  • A proactive approach and genuine enthusiasm for helping people.
