Employment Legal Services Advisor – Head Office, Northampton (Full-time/Part-time options available)
At Travis Perkins, we’re looking for an experienced and detail-focused Employment Legal Services Advisor to join our Employment Legal Services team at Ryehill House, Northampton.
This is a specialist role responsible for managing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and supporting the case management of Employment Tribunal claims, while providing clear, impartial and commercially focused employment law advice to the business.
Working closely with the Head of Employment Legal Services and key stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll play a vital role in protecting the business, ensuring legal compliance and delivering high-quality support on complex employment matters.
What you’ll be doing:
Acting as the dedicated point of contact for Data Subject Access Requests, managing requests from colleagues and former colleagues within strict legal timeframes
Identifying, retrieving, reviewing and redacting data (including email and chat searches) prior to secure disclosure
Preparing ET3 responses for Employment Tribunal claims, liaising with key witnesses to ensure accurate and robust submissions
Conducting early case assessments to evaluate merits and risk exposure
Managing tribunal orders, including preparing and exchanging lists of documents
Assisting with the preparation of company witness statements
Supporting at Employment Tribunal hearings, including note-taking as required
Providing proactive, impartial employment law advice in line with company policy
Ad hoc travel may be required to attend in-person Employment Tribunal hearings.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has Employment Law knowledge and previous Employee Relations experience within a similar sized organisation
Has experience managing Employment Tribunal claims
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
Has strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
Understands data protection principles and can interpret Employment Law confidently
Is organised, proactive, customer-focused and a strong team player
Is comfortable using IT systems, including Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
