A little about the role…

We are currently looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Support Centre & IT Finance team. A finance analyst supports the function and the rest of the support centre Finance team with financial analysis, reporting and ad-hoc financial support.  

The finance team provide support to Wickes head office, as well as liaising closely with the wider Wickes Finance team.

This role will be eligible for training and exam support for qualification with any of the major accounting bodies (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW / ICAS).

Principle Accountabilities…

  • Reporting - variety of daily, weekly and monthly financial reports for the support centre cost centres

  • Analyse invoices and validate them against expected costs

  • Sit down and review cost centre spend with cost centre owners in Support Centre

  • Post month end accruals and prepayments relating to Support Centre and IT spend

  • Manage the PO log for IT, ensuring that all outstanding PO’s are expecting payment

  • Help create Budget and forecast details for Support Centre owners

  • Reconcile payroll files vs reporting structures

What we are looking for in you?

  • A minimum of 2 year in a similar role

  • A-Level science or mathematics based subjects

  • A graduate with a degree within a relevant subject

  • High level of Organisation / prioritisation skills

  • Ability to communicate with different stakeholders both internally and externally

  • Hard working and a  Fast learner

  • Enthusiastic & Inquisitive

  • Proactive
