We are looking for an Internal Communications Manager to help us inspire our colleagues across our portfolio of brands, through curating compelling communications. This is a remote role that allows for Hybrid working with travel to Head Office in Northampton.
What you’ll do
As the Group Internal Communications Manager you will work with a range of senior stakeholders to engage our group colleagues in initiatives and activities that support our strategic objectives. You will work closely with the wider Internal Communication team across the Group to ensure Group wide and Business Unit specific messages are well planned and aligned to deliver a consistent colleague experience.
This is an exciting, challenging role for an enthusiastic, driven individual with extensive internal communications experience, particularly in multi-site businesses with hard to reach audiences.
Some accountabilities of the role:
Creating and delivering effective communications plans, crafting key messages and content in a compelling way to engage colleagues in our purpose
Helping transfer complex business challenges into easily understandable information for colleagues
Planning, writing and shaping the Group weekly newsletter to colleagues
Creating clear and engaging content for the intranet and internal news centre
Supporting major strategic change programmes to recommend and deliver effective communication approaches
Creating engaging and inspiring Town Halls and leadership events
Working with the wider communications team across our businesses to align communications and help colleagues receive a consistent colleague experience
Is this you?
Due to the nature of our business, we are looking for someone who is able to deliver valuable internal communications support within the complexities of a large, geographically dispersed organisation. You will have a proven track record in the development of successful, creative internal communications strategies, while having the drive to ensure all projects and initiatives are delivered on deadline, on budget and to agreed measures.
You’ll need to be familiar with a range of off- and on-line channels and be on top of the latest thinking as regards best practice in internal communications. You will be a hands-on, team player, and have strong written ability, so you’re able to translate complex issues into compelling, interesting, straightforward language that holds people’s attention.
Key to this role is the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder group with the skills to inspire others in the business’s strategy and purpose. In all, a thorough internal communications person who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and do what’s needed to deliver some outstanding results.
