The Head of Delivery & Engagement is responsible for developing and leading the project/product and programme management profession within the Technology function with accountability for the delivery of all technology initiatives and business value through an efficient and effective delivery practice
Here’s what's involved!
Leading the design, development, implementation and maintenance of all technology initiative delivery processes within the technology function; establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organisation
Leading the delivery of all technology initiatives in line with KPI expectations (me, cost, scope, quality) and direct accountability for improving delivery effectiveness which focuses on predictability, quality and continuous improvement
Designing, developing, implementing and maintaining the community of practice for the profession with a strong bias towards capability development within the function and more widely within the group such as career pathways, skills development and new ways of working
Leading and coaching direct reports as well as making an active contribution to the technology function extended leadership team
Maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders (technology leaderships team, business sponsors, product owners etc) to make sure that requirements and solutions are understood and are delivered in balance across the investment portfolio; negotiating at a senior level on trade offs (scope and delivery) between requirements to balance delivery of the greatest value for the Group
Analysing, recommending and implementing corrective action by engaging and influencing senior management; supporting and challenging delivery, highlighting issues and developing solutions autonomously
Embedding a risk-alert, data driven and continuous improvement culture across all delivery portfolios which drives a customer-centric attitude, a cross-departmental approach, the use of digital tools and the willingness to test and learn
Who we’re looking for?
Well, our group is all about the people, we’re big on communication, so you’ll need to be a people person, outgoing and down to earth. A sense of adventure and inquisitive nature would be desirable as our business is ever changing and offering up challenges and opportunities on a daily basis. It's a fun place to be!
Technically we need someone who is experienced in leading programme teams in a large technology function supporting a fast paced, dynamic multi-channel business would be ideal.
