Job Description

Are you a fantastic communicator with excellent customer service skills who has the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team? We’re on the lookout for an experienced, commercially minded and creative Key Account Manager to join Keyline covering Devon and Cornwall.

Keyline is an innovative company and is the UK's number one supplier of civils, heavy building materials and drainage solutions, with a nationwide network of branches and our aim is to be the Trusted Civils Specialist.

We work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a culture that takes pride in what we do. We work as one team, achieving our goals by listening and supporting each other. Our team is brimming with some of the most creative and savvy minds in the industry, and we remain at the forefront of our markets thanks to our in-house product knowledge and brand marketing experience.

What you’ll do
You will look after the sales of civil, drainage and heavy building materials for a number of Key Accounts in your sales area. Having close involvement with your designated branches, you will operate within your own defined territory, maximising sales at every opportunity and expanding our customer base by identifying and developing new accounts. You will also work closely with the two Sales Offices who will be a central contact for your customers.

Is this you?
We are after someone who’s enthusiastic, resilient and resourceful, with a sharp eye for identifying new sales opportunities and a passion for excellence. Being well-organised and planned goes without saying, as you will be responsible for meeting our valued customer expectations.

The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • Proven ability to manage a number of large key customers and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • It would be beneficial if you have knowledge of civils and drainage products - but product training will be provided.
  • Strong abilities in understanding customer objectives in order to develop successful strategic plans.
  • Experience in identifying new sales opportunities and creating solutions for customers to deliver long term profitable sales growth for both parties.

What’s in it for you?
You’ll be supported by some of the best training & development in the industry. Our impressive internal succession programme means, whatever it is you do with us,  it will be easy for you to learn, grow and develop across the Travis Perkins Group.

We’ll also equip you with a benefits package that grows as you grow with the company:
  • Competitive performance related bonus
  • Save-as-you-earn scheme
  • Buy-as-you-earn scheme
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Colleague discount across a variety of Group businesses including; 20% off at Wickes and 30% off at Tile Giant, plus special discounts across our Trade Merchanting businesses.
