Pricing Analyst

We are currently recruiting for a Pricing Analyst within our Plumbing and Heating Division. Based at our Head Office in Crick, this is an excellent opportunity within a highly dynamic commercial department. The role suits an analytical individual who is looking to test themselves within a commercial environment. 

Your key accountabilities within this role include: 

• Ensure price guidance is accurate and aligned to category strategy for both small installer and contracts business

• Supports and challenges the Category team to designing and implement pricing strategies across a core product category

• Maximise revenue and profit through the application of specific and targeted pricing techniques and deep data analysis (e.g. development of anchor pricing models).

• Review and action pricing information from suppliers, competitors and market to maximise ability to deliver strategic outcomes

• Undertake analysis and modelling to understand impacts associated with pricing strategy/promotions or tenders/renewals of contract customers

• Support the development and implementation of pricing trials to further develop understanding around areas such as price elasticity and promotional effectiveness

• Investigate margin opportunity based on amending existing customer terms

It would be great if you had...

• Degree level education ideally.

• Proven experience in an analytical role or systems development

• Experience in pricing preferred but not necessary

• Advanced Excel skills, SAS Skills, MS Access and Business Objects.

• Data analytical skills

• Commercial acumen

• Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise

• Ability to work under pressure within a busy team and on own initiative

• Strong verbal and communication skills
