Internal/In House Recruiter - Home based - covering London & SE region with travel to Northampton HO

Travis Perkins plc. You’ve probably heard of us, you’d have seen our trucks on the road, and more than likely would have seen a bag of our sand on your neighbour's driveway. But there is more to us than just that. With 5 businesses in the group, spanning over 1500 locations, we are the UK's largest distributor of building materials to the building, construction and home improvement markets.

Our Talent Acquisition Team is now looking for a Regional Recruiter to assist and guide Hiring Managers with recruitment needs across all areas of the Travis Perkins group focusing on the London & SE region.

Previous recruitment experience is essential for this role as we require an adept recruiter to prioritise vacancies, forge professional senior stakeholder relationships and understand the importance of all attraction methods including targeted sourcing. What is also important to us, is that you’re focused on delivering an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process. We want every candidate who has interacted with us to feel they’ve had a good experience with our business, regardless of their application outcome. The experience of every Hiring Manager is key too our success, ensuring every customer - internal or external - receives the very best standard of service.

We’re an agile function, adapting our operating model when needed based on business demands. Because of this, we’re looking for a recruiter to join us who feels comfortable working with a range of stakeholders, from HRBP's to Branch Managers to Regional Directors. You’ll recruit for a variety of roles, including but not limited to Assistant and Branch Managers, Team Leaders/Supervisors and Regional Sales roles.  We’re a supportive team, and we all chip in when the going gets tough.

As a Regional Recruiter here at Travis Perkins, you're empowered to challenge the norm and be creative in your ways of working. The job market is constantly changing, and it's important we're regularly reviewing our approach to acquiring talent. You'll be creative, tailoring job adverts to ensure they resonate with your target audience, use social media to promote opportunities as well as using traditional attraction and sourcing methods. You will partner with your business leaders and local HR teams, attend leadership meetings to provide insights on current recruitment activity and be known as a recruitment expert within your region..

Anyway, enough about us, what about you?

Our Talent Acquisition Team works from home, but travels to a quarterly team meeting. We love to get close to our stakeholders too, so travel to some of our branches and operational manager meetings is also expected. We work Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, we can offer some flexibility around working hours. We offer a competitive salary, group bonus plan, 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays. We offer staff discounts across some of our businesses, discounted car schemes, enhanced parental leave policies, and we also have “MyPerks” which is an online platform full of discounts and offers across thousands of UK retailers.
