What will you do? Technology Vendor Manager
Vendor Managers will monitor the contractual expectations of our Tier 1 third party suppliers forming part of the Vendor portfolio and manage a Vendor Management Centre of Excellence to support Service Owners with the tools and templates to manage all supplier relationships.
Some accountabilities of the role:
Direct, enhance and support relationships with assigned strategic tier 1 vendors aligned to resource.
Work across functions to monitor overall supplier performance information across Tier 1 & 2 vendors with Service Owners to ensure delivery to time, cost and SLA; supporting corrective actions when and where required.
Develops operational relationships between Tiered suppliers and Service Owners.
Ensures potential disputes or conflicts are raised at an early stage, with clear escalation paths for resolving them.
Be adaptable to manage new escalations into the wider GNFR team and provide direction to commercial settlement with TP stakeholders.
Be the assigned Centre of Excellence contact for the vendor management function
Continually maintain the Vendor Management practice governance model, tools and templates to provide insight and best practice to manage supplier relationships across TP Group.
Actively manage and maintain the supplier Tiering scoring in line with the supplier strategy.
Managing Tier 1 technology vendors in line with VM governance and stakeholders and a broader remit to develop the capability into the wider GNFR teams.
Manage, develop and embed the recognised vendor management toolkit with service owners to manage supplier relationships independently, making suggestions for enhancements and/or areas for potential improvement.
Ensure that suppliers' performance is managed in accordance with contract terms and to assigned stakeholders expectations.
Engage proactively and collaboratively with tier 1 suppliers to resolve incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance.
Performs bench-marking and makes use of supplier performance data to ensure that supplier performance is properly monitored and regularly reviewed by Service Owners.
Identifies constraints and opportunities when negotiating or renegotiating contracts.
Strong stakeholder management, with empathy and an ability to flex your style to navigate challenging conversations.
Understand the full supplier portfolio within the allotted category and identify strategic approaches to consolidate/rationalise, improve process, costs, terms and conditions.
Understand and manage the strategic direction for each supplier; e.g. maintain business, grow business, closedown relationship.
