Travis Perkins, a prominent supplier of building materials to the construction industry, is seeking a Yard Sales Supervisor to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our yard, warehouse and transport operation. This critical customer-facing position involves supervising and inspiring a team of Yard Assistants who interact with our customers daily.
Where Will You Be Working?
This role is based in our Travis Perkins Wolverhampton branch, this is a growing team where you are really made to feel at home. This is a flagship branch in a very established position within their area. With this branch winning branch of the year, 4 times. They are also one of the biggest branches within our Midlands area. However, don’t let that put you off, with great staff and customer base it will be the perfect branch to start your career with us. With a team that all gets stuck in and help each other out when in busier periods. This is an opportunity for someone with little to no experience to get their teeth stuck in and develop a long lasting career with us. The team which is soon to be 36, will take you under their wing along with Mark the branch manager, to really give you the best development opportunities. They have a full tool hire with 4 staff members, 4 HGV wagons and a tool hire van deliveries are always flying out.

What Will You Be Doing as Yard Manager?
You'll manage yard operations and staff, including our vehicle drivers
You'll process customer orders, load and unload customer and company vehicles, and unload building products from supplier deliveries
As a key customer-facing role, you'll build strong relationships with customers by delivering the highest standards of service
You'll ensure that safety is at the forefront of everything we do and maintain a tidy and safe working environment at all times
You'll need to be physically on the move, adaptable, resilient and tenacious, and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
