At Travis Perkins, we have a great opportunity for someone to join our Trade Credit department as a New Account Controller, to conduct administrative tasks around credit checking individuals/ companies to ascertain credit worthiness. 

If you have great communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and confidence in decision making then we’d love to hear from you. 

This is a 9 months contract. Working hours: Monday- Friday 10am-2pm 

What you’ll do 

• Running a number of confidential searches on individuals/companies and using our

company criteria to make a decision as to whether we can offer them credit

• Capturing clear and concise notes on all decisions via shared spreadsheets and credit management platform

• Follow our best practices to minimise our risk of fraudulent activities

• Corresponding with customers via email or phone to ask for further information in a timely and professional manner

• Working towards and completing daily targets

• Contribute to the daily tasks within the departments

• Work alongside the Contact Centre, Retail and Finance teams to help handle any customer queries 

Is this you? 

• Experience in reading credit reports would be desirable, however full training is given.

• Confidence in decision making

• High level of attention to detail

• A positive attitude and a natural communicator who always puts the customer first

• Enthusiastic, polite, willing to learn

• Loves teamwork and understands that it is the route for success

• Reliable and flexible with excellent time keeping, hardworking and fun to be around

• Has the ability to empathise with people

• Good understanding of google packages including google documents.
