What You’ll Be Doing
This is a first for Travis Perkins in the North & Scotland!! Opening soon a brand new Clearance Branch. This will be a fast-paced clearance branch providing high-quality building materials at unbeatable prices.
The Role
As the Assistant Branch Manager, you’ll work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure smooth operations across sales, stock control, customer service, and team leadership. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment while contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the branch.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Branch Manager in all aspects of branch operations, including staffing, stock management, and health & safety compliance
Help drive sales performance and meet revenue targets through excellent customer service and product knowledge
Supervise, motivate, and develop team members to achieve high standards
Ensure efficient goods-in and goods-out processes, including handling clearance and surplus stock
Assist with merchandising and maintaining a clean, organised warehouse layout
About You
Proven supervisory or team leader experience, ideally in a warehouse or retail setting
Strong organisational and time management skills
Confident communicator with a customer-first approach
Physically fit and willing to be hands-on with stock handling
Forklift licence desirable but not essential
