Are you working in the builder materials sector, maybe looking for your first step in to branch management, then look no further, we may have a role for you.  Due to promotion, we are looking for an Assistant Branch Manager in our Urmston branch.

Our Urmston branch is on Higher Road, we are just off the M60, junction 9.  Its a fast paced, challenging and fun team to be part off, the Branch Manager has created a vibrant and professional atmosphere.  The branch has 18 colleagues, 2 delivery vehicles and a successful Tool Hire department. Our footfall in the branch is between 160-200 Trade customers a day, most we know on a first name basis.  

We are planning long term, so we are looking for future Branch Managers, so if you are willing to learn every aspect of branch life, are hard working and ambitious, we would love to hear from you.

Hours - 7am - 4.30pm and Saturdays 8am -12pm, (you don't have to work every Saturday, our colleagues do 2 in 4.)

What will I be doing?
No one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, and now that you have had a great onboarding and induction, here are a few pointers:  
  • People - You will be a pivotal contact for our customers, nurturing great relationships, understanding their needs in order to offer expert advice and recommending alternatives to meet their individual needs and maximise the sale of goods.
  • Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help the Branch Manager coach a team to deliver the highest standards of service.  
  • Being commercially aware, you will support the Branch Manager in managing all aspects of the Branch and business.
  • Stay Safe - Set the tone and champion a Stay Safe culture within our branch, your aim will be to ensure that all our colleagues and customers leave the Branch safely, by adhering to all stay safe policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that regulations relating to vehicles within the scope of the goods vehicles licensing of operators act are adhered to.
  • Compliance - Including auditing, KPI counts, goods in and goods out, dealing with our suppliers

What experience do you need?
Coming from our industry, you will have a strong customers and sales focus, we also need your transferable skills, operational, supervisory and great customer service.
