Role Purpose:
Credit Administrators are responsible for the efficient management and administration of credit-related activities within the organisation. Their primary function is to support the Credit Services team by ensuring that all credit processes are carried out accurately, promptly, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
A key aspect of the role involves processing credit applications for both Keyline Civils Specialist and CCF, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and compliant. This includes reviewing and verifying customer information, conducting credit checks, and liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate timely approvals.
In addition to credit application processing, Credit Administrators also provide essential support to the Cash Allocation Team as needed. This may involve reconciling customer accounts, allocating payments correctly, and assisting in resolving payment discrepancies or queries.
Overall, Credit Administrators play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of the business by ensuring that credit processes run smoothly and by providing comprehensive administrative support across the credit services function.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide new customers through the account opening process.
Gather all necessary information and documentation for account setup.
Verify customer information and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Conduct Credit Reference and Identity checks
Enter customer data into the system accurately and efficiently.
Ensure all required paperwork is completed and filed correctly.
Set up accounts in the company's system according to established procedures.
Ensure accounts are activated and ready for use.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., credit control, branch colleagues,sales colleagues) as needed for account setup.
Working in alignment with company credit policy and SLA.
.Undertake additional duties as allocated by the Manager.
To ensure success in the role you would possess the following:
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to extract and interpret information from sources such as Companies House and Credit Reference Agency’s.
Customer Service - : A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service.
Technical Proficiency: ability to adapt and use various different software applications.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues during the onboarding process.Experience with Account Setup Processes: Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally and at all levels.
