Fraud and Intelligence Analyst

You will prevent, detect and investigate fraud and loss in the business and will support in providing Group stakeholders with actionable security related intelligence.  

This role is Hybrid working, so travel to our Travis Perkins head office based in Northampton is required at least once a month! However this may increase due to the requirements of the business .

Principal Accountabilities 

• Pro-actively detect fraud and loss in the business, both internal and external through data analysis.

• Reactively provide data and intelligence to support security investigations being undertaken by the field investigations teams and to other functions when requested and appropriate. 

• Supply evidence and relevant statements to the Police and other regulatory bodies where required.

• Highlight trends to the business and individual brands through the F&I Manager as a result of fraud and other identified loss.

• Work with IT and support the Data Architect in building proactive reports to detect fraud and loss as well as other data reports as required.

• Support the F&I Manager in providing appropriate training, awareness and communications to the business to support fraud and loss.

• Work collaboratively with other organisations and agencies in tackling organised fraud and business crime.

What you’ll need to have/be:

• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English, grades A-C/ 9-4

• In depth knowledge of fraud-related issues and obtaining raw data and turning into actionable intelligence. 

• Technologically proficient, demonstrating an understanding of emerging technologies and integrating these into a commercial environment.

• Detailed understanding of crime and fraud

• Problem solver, identifies data to solve complex fraud and intelligence problems. 

• Able to handle own workload and excel in working in a dynamic environment

• Proactive and delivery-focused

• Maintain a professional code of conduct and ethics
