Personal Assistant to Director
Do you have proven experience as a Personal Assistant supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment?
If you’re a highly organised PA with outstanding communication and diary management skills, this could be your next exciting opportunity.
As a Directors PA within Benchmarx/Travis Perkins, you’ll provide full secretarial and administrative support to our Managing Director and Sales & Operations Director. You’ll act as their key point of contact—managing schedules, organising meetings, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the team.
This is a varied and people-focused role that requires discretion, strong initiative, and exceptional attention to detail.
Please note this role is Office Based in Duston Northampton, with option to work from home 2 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Diary management, ensuring they are maintained and kept up-to-date at all times.
Organising all travel and hotel accommodation as and when required.
Booking meeting rooms and lunches.
Setting the agendas and preparing the slide decks for all Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager and Sales Management meetings.
Ad hoc travel to attend BM and ABM meetings to take action notes and integrate with the teams as required.
Minute HR meetings as and when they arise including grievances, disciplinary hearings, appeals, and redundancy consultation meetings.
First point of contact for all Branch Managers and Directors on the HRSystem. Assist and resolve queries where possible and action transfers, new starters, contract changes leavers on behalf of the Directors.
Ordering items including stationery, PPE, safety shoes and IT equipment, as and when required.
Logging lieu days and holidays for the Directors’ direct reports.
Email management for the Directors.
Processing invoices for payment.
Creating good relationships with all members of the Benchmarx/TP Team including the other Directors, the PAs and Branch colleagues.
Build relationships with external suppliers who will require meetings to be arranged with the Directors accordingly.
Ad hoc administrative support to the Directors and other members of the Benchmarx/TP Team as and when required.
You’ll also have:
Previous experience within a PA role.
Experience of managing busy and challenging diaries at director level.
Ability to prioritise workloads based on the demands of the business and requirements of the Directors.
Strong communication skills and relationship management.
Positive attitude, self motivated with a ‘can-do’ approach.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Must have advanced knowledge and be highly skilled in Microsoft Office packages, and experience of Google would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proactive attitude, emphasis on getting things done.
